In this workshop participants will learn about traditional First Nation art forms, the original art techniques of the land. We will be having a discussion on how to properly represent First Nation arts opportunities in the classroom. Participants will have an opportunity to examine and watch demonstrations of different art techniques while learning about the relationship First Nation people have with the land. Participants will also learn about and have a chance to help with the collecting, cleaning and preparations of natural materials for art. Finally, we will have an opportunity to do a couple art activities that can be taken back to the classroom to do with the students. As we do the art activities I will be showing different variations for different abilities. We will be working with real animal parts and plants.
