Feedback form is now closed.
This session focuses on engaging students with poetry in a way that is outside the box. While it is important to know poetic devices, it is more important to be able to create writing that speaks from a point of relevancy. During this session, we will focus on breaking the mould and writing word poetry that is intended to be spoken at an in class Poetry SLAM. Participants will have an opportunity to work on delivery techniques and even write a poem to perform. Check out Shane Koyczan on YouTube to get a taste of what is in store. This sessions is not for the faint of heart, so come prepared to experience poetry in a way like never before.
