A Thousand Words: Using Images in the ELA Classroom

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
This session focuses on engaging students with images in a way that is outside the box. While it is important to understand technical aspects of imagery, it is more important to be able to respond to and reflect on images in personal and critical ways. During this session, we will focus on various ways to use images within the English classroom - comics, students photography, and more. Participants will have an opportunity to view and respond to images throughout this session. Lesson ideas will be provided. Open your eyes and see that an image really is worth a thousand words.
