Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Summary This workshop will focus on the importance of self-care in avoiding the slippery slope of professional burnout, and recommendations for beginning the healing process. Abstract Burnout can be a slippery slope that begins with good intentions to work hard and do well, and ends with lack of joy, lack of satisfaction, and potential serious health issues. After years of teaching, academia, and workaholic perfectionism, Angela completely burned out. During this workshop, she will share her experience of teaching & academic stress, burnout, existential crisis, and a return to what is truly important to live a quality life. You will be invited to examine your own self-care practices, identify signs and symptoms of burnout in yourself and colleagues, and create a self-care plan that will sustain you through your career.
