Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Learn and play a variety of Junior High Math games and activities that will keep your students engaged as they learn and master junior high math concepts in the areas of: algebra, linear equations, graphing, chance and probability, coordinate geometry, mathematical reasoning and more. In addition, learn how the games played during this session quickly translate to improved paper and pencil evidence of learning using standard algorithms. During this session, participants will also gain the knowledge, skills and expertise necessary to quickly and easily implement the games back in their classrooms, without adding to their already heavy workload. Learn how to easily differentiate the games providing a suitable math challenge for all the students in your classroom. The games can be used to: introduce math concepts; provide engaged practice to help students master, deepen and enhance their understanding of math concepts; as an assessment of learning acquired. Student written and video samples will be shared and a handout will be provided. Effective teaching practices and strategies based on the most recent findings from brain-based-learning research will be modeled and highlighted throughout the workshop.
