Chinese Folksongs and Singing Games

In this session, participants will learn about how a folksong collection project, sponsored by the Confucius Institute, is working at making Chinese folksongs and singing games accessible for use by music teachers in Alberta. Participants will participate in learning several songs and games and will walk away with resources to use in the classroom. In Alberta, the second most spoken language in Mandarin. This session will work at equipping teachers with authentic resources that speak directly to the students in their classrooms.
