This session is primarily geared towards teachers of Physics 20 and 30. Participants will have the opportunity to explore and build 2 hands on models that can be used with students to investigate wave-particle duality. In the first activity, participants will explore how observations for a double slit experiment conflict with predictions based on classical interpretations of waves and particles using a simple model, and how these observations can be explained with modern physics principles. The second activity will involve a visual investigation of the interference of waves. Participants will build a model of a double slit interference experiment and explore the different ways that this model explains observations for the wave nature of light and particles.
