Do you ever wonder what it would take to build a successful drama/musical theatre program from the ground up? Have you ever thought you’d love to do something like this but are worried you lack the knowledge, skills or experience? If so, this session is for you! Come learn from someone. Prior to changing school divisions, I built my previous school’s drama program from the ground up, and I'm here to show you how to do the same thing! This session includes a how-to seminar covering a wide variety of topics, as well as break out sessions for networking and problem solving so feel free to bring obstacles which you are facing. Bring a notepad/device to take notes and pictures as the day progresses and an email that we can share our Google Drive Folder with. The day will start with an overview of the following: how our program was built over 6 years and how you can do the same, budgeting & timelines, costume/set/prop design & creation, ticket sales, and creating a culture of success. Don't worry if you could not attend last year, there will be a brief overview AND you will be given access to all documents from last year's session and this year's session as well.
